Through an exclusive licensing agreement, Vedo.com sold on-demand giclée prints of artwork from the Vatican Library. A traditional e-commerce site filled with grids of thumbnails already existed — the request was to create a secondary experience that emphasized exploration, context and understanding. This resulted in placing the work of the collection within an interactive timeline allowing users to time-jump through history. The timeline was divided into groups organized by century. Similar to the galleries of a museum, visitors were able to view work alongside its contemporaries and in an environment that honored their history.
